Description:
The Saltwater Sally Lightfoot Crab is a scavenging crab that prefers to be in the rocks as it has a thin carpace and can maneuver into tight places to hide. They generally come out when there is food present. Diet may need to be supplemented with dried seaweed if there is not much to scavenge.

Although they look very interesting and are very active, be very careful with these guys because they are great ambush predators. I love my pair of clowns to a few sallys i had in a 55gal. i caught one in action before and saved the fish but tossed the crab in my refuge. Just beware and avoud them when in small tanks or around small fish. |

I purchased 2 of these from Reefs2go about 6 months ago and they are still doing great. I had read reviews that these guys hide alot and in some set-ups you would very rarely if ever see them. I have to disagree, i see them more than i see my 4 Emerald Crabs. These guys pop out of the rock work every time i drop food in the tank. Love these guys! |
