The Saltwater Ruby Red Mithrax Crab is very similar to the Saltwater Emerald Crab in exception of it being ruby red. It basically has the same diet and will eat most types of algea. They are also very reef safe and a joy to watch in the home aquarium.

I have one of these that came with my aquarium when I bought it. It is nocturnal. In fact, I have NEVER seen it while the lights are on in the tank. It doesn't seem to be a bother to anything at all.
