Description:
The Saltwater Arrow Crab is a hardy and long living crab that like to be on rocks and scavenges for food. Supplementing food for them is a good idea. Very enjoyable to watch as they move in odd ways. The Arrow Crab is a fantastic scavengers which are highly sought after for their diet of Bristle Worms and Flat Worms. It is highly recommended that only one be kept per tank and they should only be kept in larger tanks. It is a very unique crab and extremely helpful in the reef by eating bristle worms. It has very long legs that can be up to three times it's body length.

I know it says on the website "only 1 crab per tank", but since I have a 90 gallon tank with lots of rockwork I figured I'd give 2 crabs a try since I do have a problem with brittle worms. Crabs arrived healthy and promptly. They seem to enjoy their new environment and stay away from each other. As far as eating bristle worms, well they don't eat the worms as much as I'd like to see. I do see one of the crabs eating a worm every now and then, but they certainly love any other food I put in the tank. If I hand feed my small RBTA's some shrimp or fish parts, darn if the crab won't just go over there and steal the meal right from the RBTA's mouth. They are very good at taking the meal before the RBTA has had time to eat. Hopefully these crabs will find that there are plenty of bristle worms to eat if they just look around lol. |

This little guy I got was an awesome addition to our tank family. He is quite a character to watch clean himself and scurry around for food! Great addition to any tank just beware of other crabs or shrimp that may fight each other to the death. |
