The Panther Grouper is also known as the Polka Dot Grouper. This fish is a carnivore and will eat small shrimp and fish. They are not known to disturb corals, however the animals which typically inhabit the reef, would e considered a nice snack for this aggressive, face growing predator.

I have owned about 5 of these wonderful fish. They are very active fish, love to hide and seek food, love to swim all over and they are VERY easy to manage. Be aware that if they are not fed enough, they tend to eat their tank mates. They have no problem eating clownfish, damsels, and all other small fish. Keep them with Triggers, Lionfish, Wrasse's and other aggressive fish. Make sure they are bigger than him or trhey will be the groupers meal! |
