These fish are relatively docile and will not attack tankmates when kept in a suitably sized aquarium. These fire fish are prolific leapers, and will dart into holes when alarmed. These fish feed on zooplankton, especially copepods and crustacean larvae. It is also known as Purple Dartfish Goby and Purple Firefish.
